Our Client a world renowned software developer is searching for a technical translator-“Localisation manager”. As a localisation manager your main tasks will be to take ownership of software translation projects from English to German. Your responsibilities will include managing the localisation process for products and documentation, budget, training and process initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Work with management on forecasting and scheduling of localisation projects
Maintain localisation schedules and deadlines
Be central point of contact for world-wide Localisation Engineers
Prepare SOWs with outsourced translation companies in co-operation with other departments
Guard each project’s progress and take action when needed
Translate source code and on-line documentation
Maintain Localisation Requirements documents for the German language and assist in improving translation tools and methods
Manage the testing of localised products in co-operation with QA and Services
Report on progress of projects to Services Director and Project teams
Advise Product Development teams on locale-specific localisation issuesRequirements:
Proven experience in software localisation processes
Native German language skills and perfect English language skills, both verbally and written
Strong international background and ability to work in a multicultural team environment
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of and experience with software development tools
Strong project manager and prioritisation skills
Accurate, efficient and organised working attitude
Full-time availability
Ability to travelSalary:
€35000 - €50000 annuallyContact.
