Full time, indeterminate, as soon as possibleAs Embedded Software Developer at Mobisol you join the international firmware team consisting of 5 unix loving people. We implement the actual control logic empowering our Solar Home Systems located in ten thousands of east African households. In close collaboration with the backend and hardware development teams, we build the technical foundation for Mobisol´s operations in East Africa.
Your tasks
• Pushing our product forward – You will maintain, extend and improve the existing firmware for our remotely controlled Solar Home Systems
• Be an allrounder – You will implement battery charge control, M2M backend communication, user interaction functionality and alike
• Do the next step – Design and build software for Mobisol’s future Solar Home Systems and smart DC applicances
• The system under your control – Accompany Mobiol’s devices’ lifecycle and gain insights by evaluating runtime data of ten thousands of systemsOur requirements
• Experience in firmware development
• In-depth understanding of low level software mechanisms
• Profound understanding of software architecture and design
• Integration of VCS in your daily development workflow
• Skills developing on the AVR and/or ARM cortex M platformA plus
• Experience in implementing drivers for a wide variety of devices
• Knowledge about realtime OS internals
• Practical background with product lifecycles
