to individual engineers - with the ability to develop their products in a manner that is faster, better and more cost-efficient.

Become a part of this and provide support asChief Cloud Architect / Technical Lead (m/f) in Munich
You will start by gaining deep insight into the current SimScale architecture and our plans for the product in the future.
You will then collaborate with product management and our developers to determine the best architecture and roadmap to achieve those goals.
You will place particular emphasis on a reliable, high performing global system that creates,
stores and serves large amounts of diverse data. You will be responsible for staying on top of technological developments
and making sure SimScale continuously improves its architecture
to be the global leader in engineering simulation.
**
What we expect from you (must-haves)**
- 3+ years of professional experience in distributed systems, including fault tolerance and scalability
- Very good cloud technology knowledge (e.g. EC2, S3, CloudFront (when talking about AWS))
- At least 1,5 - 2 years of experience in Continuous Delivery (e.g. in combination with Docker and Puppet)
- Excellent Linux or Unix skills
- Very good English skills
- Drive to keep learning and stay in touch with the tech ecosystemWhat we expect from you (nice-to-haves)
- Good skills in several programming languages e.g. Java, Python, C++
- Experience in scientific or high performance computing
- A degree in Computer Science (or comparable)
- Further language skills e.g. German
